Pale gold in colour with a subtle nose of flint, green apple and fresh grass. Gentle flavours on the palate of fresh grapefruit, manadrin, and herbaceous notes of fennel and thyme are all complimented by refreshing acidity and minerality. Drinking beautifully now, this wine will reward those who cellar it for

Year after year, the Rosomel Vineyard on the Beamsville Bench comes up trumps in the sauvignon-semillon genre, here in 2019 yielding an exceptional Fumé Blanc of substantial depth and weight, while maintaining balanced proportions. As usual, barrel influence is merely a background whisper to foreground ripe citrus, green fig and custard pear fruit. Length and depth are excellent, finishing on an appealing saline-salty note. This is classy wine, sophisticated and complex, but more importantly, delicious. And in the grand scheme of things, it is also excellent value. Drink or hold 2-4 years. Tasted April 2021.
