Since 2010, Hidden Bench has embraced farming its vineyards using organic practices, and since 2013, all of our estate vineyards are certified organic by Pro-cert.
WE ARE AN ORGANIC ESTATE WINERY
We believe that the highest quality of grapes and wine can only be achieved by avoiding using systemic chemical insecticides and fungicides in our vineyards. We also follow a number of biodynamic practices in our viniculture, but have chosen not to be certified in this area. Since 2015 we have extended our organic practices into our winemaking processes and as of 2016 most wines will carry the Pro-cert certification on their labels. Although our decision to work organically has raised our costs significantly, we believe the peace of mind and health of those who enjoy our wines and our vineyard and winery team is well worth the additional costs we embrace.
