2005 Chardonnay Tête de Cuvée
Pale yellow straw with an intense and complex nose showing Nashi pear, white peach, roasted almond and cinnamon. This wine is powerful yet elegant and the palate shows white peach and delicate apricot character. The wine has a very long lingering finish supported by good acidity.
The grapes were whole bunch pressed and fermented by a combination of wild and commercial yeasts in premium French oak and stainless steel barrels. We selected the very best individual barrels from the Locust Lane and Rosomel vineyard lots with the wine having spent 10 months in barrel before blending and bottling.
