Bright yellow gold colour. Pungent and complex nose showing intense flinty character, grapefruit, gooseberry and a touch of dried almond. Rich and concentrated palate showing grapefruit, black currant bud and gooseberry and honey with a flinty minerality and smokiness. The wine has very good length with a clean, savoury and complex finish. 24.07.2008

Winemaker's Comments

As for all Hidden Bench white wines, the grapes were hand picked, sorted and whole bunch pressed. The juice was fermented warm ( up to  26 degrees Celcius ) in French oak and stainless steel barrels. The wine spent nine mpnths in barrel and the lees were stirred weekly before blending, filtration and bottling.
