Generous ripe red grapefruit nose with a touch of lime and honey pomello. The wine has a beautiful linear structure with a lucious mid palate. This wine also shows great intensity on the palate with grapefruit and a preserved lime character. The 2007 Estate Riesling aslo displays classic Beamsville Bench minerality and has a persistant fresh finish. 23.07.2008

Winemaking Comments:

As for all Hidden Bench white wines, the grapes were handpicked, sorted and whole bunch pressed. The yield from the press was on average only 475 litres of juice per tonne of fruit  to ensure higner quality and purity of flavours. The juice was cold settled for three weeks then racked prior to fermentation. Following a slow fermentation of up to  three months  at low temperatures with both natural and commercial yeast, the wine was blended, filtered and bottled in the early Spring of 2008.
