2005 Estate Pinot Noir
Light garnet red. With an intense and complex nose showing sour cherry, raspberry, violet, clove and cedar. Medium body with nice fleshy mid palate and fine grainy tannins. The palate shows good concentration of sour cherry and violet with some cedar notes.
In 2005 we fermented four individual small batches of pinot noir. We used native yeasts and only used gravity to move the wine. This pinot noir spent 11 months in premium French oak and was bottled without fining or filtering.
